the numbers are definately on the oustide of the newer style snap-on boxes, not the inside. if you get the numbers off the snap-on guy can order new ones. they do take a while to come in, but the lock set for my box ended up costing me about $80 for all three and i wish i had just waited because those locks were a royal pita to get off..
